Christmas Holidays

Being a tax office employee I get the full Christmas period off
From midday, Christmas Eve to Jan 2

After Boxing day (Dec 26) I have been watching the Korean drama “Jewel in the Palace” 대장금(大長今) / Dae-jang-geum

Since I love period dramas, this is right up my alley.
But there are 70 episodes and it has taken me two days to watch the first 25!

The story is about a young girl who enters the Korean imperial palace as a kitchen hand (a female only role). She then over the years become the head cook and later the royal doctor.

As with most Korean dramas it is a little heavy on the melodrama, but enjoyable nether-less.
